About Geof

Film work

Geof Miller has written for Warner Bros, Fox TV, Anonymous Content, Columbia TriStar, and others. Produced credits include Deep Star Six, and House IV.  Projects in development include Butcher’s Run and Road to Valor. He’s a proud member of the Writers Guild of America.

He produced the independent films Shredder and Lovers Lane (the latter he also co-wrote), both of which are in distribution world-wide. 

Geof served as development consul-tant for eight years at Vulcan Prods.  Projects included Hard Candy with Ellen Page and the Humanitas-award-winning Where God Left His Shoes with the great John Leguizamo.

To-date he has read over 2,000 screenplays.

Education

Geof taught screenwriting at the UW Extension, Seattle University and the Seattle Film Institute. Former students include the lamentably late Shawn Boxe (“Boomerang,” “Silicon Valley,”) Alice Wu (Saving Face, The Half of It,) and Kit Boss (“iZombie,” “Bob’s Burgers,”).

He studied screenwriting at the University of Southern California, under the legendary Jim Boyle.

 

He and his writing partner Troy Hunter took first place at the Austin Film Festival for their script Keys to the Kingdom.

Geof was the founding President of the Northwest Screenwriters Guild, and a founding board member of IFP Seattle and the Northwest Production Market.
